According to foreign technology blog 9to5mac reports, recently, a paper US cable provider Comcast and multimedia company Time Warner Cable submitted to the FCC inadvertently mentioned that Apple 's next-generation TV set-top boxes products.

2014 Comcast use $ 45 billion acquisition of Time Warner Cable , which is from a merger documentation of two companies submitted to the FCC, a few words revealed Apple is developing a new generation of TV set-top boxes program .

Comcast is mentioned in the document : "Now Apple tablet will aim at the cable service , the company not only provide online video service Apple TV , but also explore and development the next generation of Apple's TV set-top boxes. " This statement implies that Apple is developing a new TV set-top boxes , but the key is that this TV set-top boxes is different from the current Apple TV set-top box, it may be the next generation of Apple TV, it may be another product which is different from the current product.  Comcast spokesman Sena Fitzmaurice said the company's new Apple TV set-top boxes information mentioned in the document based on publicly reported previously .
